The science behind Nordlys Frax 1940

How do Frax laser treatments work?

Frax laser treatments, specifically the Frax 1550 and Frax 1940, are FDA-cleared non-ablative fractional laser treatments. These treatments work by penetrating the skin at different depths, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin. The overall result is improved skin tone, the fading of brown spots, and the smoothing of wrinkles and scars. Unlike more aggressive lasers, fractional skin resurfacing treatments only target a fraction of the skin at a time, resulting in less discomfort and downtime.

What distinguishes Frax 1550 from Frax 1940?

The Fraxel Dual laser utilizes two different wavelengths, 1550 and 1940, to address various skin concerns on different body parts, such as the face, neck, chest, hands, and legs. The 1940 wavelength effectively removes hyperpigmentation, age spots, and sun damage. On the other hand, the 1550 wavelength is specifically designed to target and smooth the skin’s texture, addressing issues like fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scarring.

The Frax 1940 handpiece features a 1940 nm wavelength for a more scientific explanation.

What are the capabilities of Nordlys non-ablative Laser Resurfacing?

The Nordlys system incorporates four advanced technologies to address various skin conditions effectively. At Aesthetics of The Royal Liver Building, we utilize state-of-the-art technologies.

FRAX 1940 NON-ABLATIVE LASER RESURFACING

To help our patients achieve a more beautiful complexion. Aesthetics of The Royal Liver Building rely on the FRAX Pro laser. The associated glow effect gives the skin and complexion a new radiance. Skin surface renewal can be achieved gently and painlessly.
The Frax& Nordlys system from Candela comprises gentle laser & light treatments. Lasers use specific wavelengths to target skin concerns, including pigmentation, pore size, redness, wrinkles & dull skin. Each laser has a specific role to play. Different lasers are employed to treat different skin types & presentations.

Laser resurfacing technology helps to renew the skin by smoothing texture irregularities. Accordingly, laser resurfacing treatment with the FRAX Pro Laser with Glow Effect is recommended for the face, the décolleté, and the hands. Even sun-damaged skin can be rejuvenated, while the skin texture, in general, is improved. Active ingredients such as vitamin C, tranexamic acid, hyaluronic and retinol are particularly effective after the FRAX1940 treatment and ensure a radiant complexion.

FAQS For Frax 1940

After treatment with the FRAX Pro Laser, the treated areas may appear slightly darker. As the healing process continues, a fine scab will form, which can be felt but is not visible. It will dissolve by itself after about five days.
By using the high-grade and, at the same time, targeted wavelengths, a lasting superficial skin resurfacing can be achieved so that even smokers' skin and actinic keratoses can be treated.
Concept to understand: each laser wavelength plays a specific role. If a clinic has limited wavelengths & lasers, you may have a compromised treatment. The Frax 1940 laser is advertised as a multi-treatment platform that can address everything from melasma to wrinkles.
Our main indications are-
Pigment or dyschromia in lighter skin types 1-2.
Fine lines & wrinkles
Sun damage, including sunspots & broken collagen (elastosis)
Mild skin laxity in lighter skin types
