Saggy breast tissue: As women age, their breasts begin to sag as the internal tissue experiences a collagen and oestrogen deficiency. Childbirth and extreme weight changes can also accelerate this. At one time, the only way to combat this condition was to undergo invasive surgery; however, now, we can offer more minimally invasive treatment alternatives.

Sagging breasts, known as ‘breast ptosis,’ are a harmless cosmetic concern. Breast ptosis is often characterized by nipples that appear lower or point downwards, and its severity can vary. However, in some cases, it can result in significant back and neck pain and poor posture, even in young girls with large and heavy breasts. Various factors, such as age, pregnancy, genetics, and fluctuations in weight, can contribute to the development of saggy breasts.

Causes of Saggy Breast Tissue:

  • Age
  • Gravity
  • Genetics
  • Hormone Changes through menopause or illness
  • Multiple pregnancies
  • Rapid weaning after breastfeeding
  • Weight gain/loss
  • Not wearing a supportive bra
  • Diseases
  • Sun exposure and tanning beds
  • Smoking
  • Breast Surgery
After undergoing treatment, the skin experiences an immediate tightening effect. Additionally, the treatment stimulates collagen cells, leading to long-term tightening and lifting effects. As a result, the skin appears firm, taut, and healthy.
