What is Browpexy Liverpool?
Browpexy is a minimally invasive mini brow lift designed to subtly elevate and stabilise the brow for a refreshed, more youthful look — with minimal visible scarring. Using fine sutures, the central and outer brow can be lifted to reduce heaviness over the upper eyelid, without the longer incisions associated with a traditional brow lift.

This precision procedure is performed under local anaesthetic in our CQC-registered Cosmetic Surgery of The Royal Liver Building, ensuring maximum comfort and a faster recovery.

There are two main approaches:
  • Internal Browpexy: Performed at the same time as upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) through the eyelid crease incision, avoiding any additional scars.
  • External Browpexy: Involves a small incision above the brow hairline — ideal for concealing scars, particularly effective for patients with thicker brow hair.

Who is a Good Candidate for Browpexy Liverpool?
Browpexy is ideal for patients with mild to moderate drooping of the outer brow and upper eyelid who want a subtle improvement without the downtime or scars of a full brow lift.

It is commonly performed alongside blepharoplasty to maintain brow position after eyelid surgery. Patients with significant brow descent or forehead laxity may benefit more from a Temporal Brow Lift or Direct Brow Lift.
Browpexy Liverpool Recovery & Aftercare
Mild swelling and bruising are expected for up to two weeks. Some patients experience temporary tightness or numbness. Dissolvable sutures are used for minimal discomfort.

Most people take around a week off work and should avoid heavy exercise for 2–4 weeks. Follow-up face-to-face reviews are scheduled to monitor healing.

How is Browpexy Performed?

Browpexy can be carried out under local anaesthetic and usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes.
  • Internal Browpexy: Uses the same incision as blepharoplasty; sutures are placed to anchor the brow in a lifted position.
  • External Browpexy: Requires a small incision above the brow hairline to insert sutures that elevate and stabilise the brow.
Your surgeon will assess brow symmetry before closing the incisions
Results & Longevity Browpexy Liverpool
Once swelling has resolved, the brow and eye area will appear refreshed and subtly lifted. Internal browpexy scars are concealed in the eyelid crease, while external scars are hidden in the brow hairline.

Results last an average of 2–5 years and can be maintained with treatments such as Botox or dermal fillers.
Limitations & Risks for Browpexy Liverpool
  • Provides a subtle lift — not suited for advanced brow droop
  • Possible side effects: swelling, bruising, numbness, temporary dry or watery eyes, infection, or minor scarring
  • Rare risk of recurrence over time
