Sofwave is a unique ultrasound technology that differs from high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). Aesthetics of The Royal
Liver Building’s very own Sofwave™ expert Dr Sunnetha, explains it like this: Unlike other ultrasound technologies that concentrate
energy to create a focal hotspot beneath the skin’s surface, Sofwave™ using its SUPERB™ Technology, works inside the skin. With
each energy pulse, Sofwave creates seven parallel cylinders that extend straight down from the skin’s surface and connect 1.5mm
below the skin. This formation generates collagen-remodelling heat along a line, treating a larger tissue area than other ultrasound
devices. The energy delivered by Sofwave is approximately six times higher, resulting in more effective skin tightening.
