Your trusted clinic offering anti-ageing injections

We have many clients are searching for Botox Liverpool, they are doing so for this reason: because it simply works. In short, when you focus, frown or squint, the muscles in your face contract and move. Then after many years of regular contraction coupled with other environmental and lifestyle factors, wrinkles and lines will develop and eventually after time they will become permanent. Thus when the muscles in our face or neck do move, a signal is sent from the brain via nerves to the muscles, telling them to contract.

In fact, many patients try numerous anti-wrinkles creams and don’t get the results they want. Compared to minimally invasive Anti-wrinkle injectables, which are a natural protein that works by disturbing this process, leaving those muscles unable to crease the skin.

FAQ’S

What is Botox? Botulinum Toxin (Botox ®) temporarily relaxes the muscle by blocking nerve impulses when injected into a muscle. As the nerve impulses are temporarily blocked, the muscle cannot contract, preventing the formation of dynamic wrinkles. Botox gives the facial skin an appearance that is softer, smoother, and more youthful.

As a muscle relaxant, Botulinum Toxin has an excellent safety record and a long history of use in medicine. Over the last 20 years, Botox has been successfully administered to adults and children for various medical conditions. About 15 years ago, it was used cosmetically to treat facial wrinkles. Botox has become one or, if not the most popular and widely used cosmetic treatments worldwide.

Botox Treatment can treat wrinkles in both men and women, though men typically require slightly higher doses.

It should not be administered to infected individuals at the intended injection site.

Has anyone previously experienced an allergic reaction to Botulinum toxin type A injections.

People with muscle problems or chronic diseases like Myasthenia Gravis and Eaton-Lambert syndrome.

Children younger than 18 years of age.

Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.

It should be used with caution in (Please inform your Clinician if any of the following apply to you):

Post-procedure, there is an increased risk of bruising in patients at risk for bleeding. Clients with blood clotting disorders, including Haemophilia, and those taking anticoagulant medications, such as Warfarin, Heparin, Aspirin, and anti-inflammatory medications, fall into this category. Specific herbal remedies, including Gingiko Bilboa, St. John's Wort, and Vitamin E, are effective.

Patients with a history of Stroke or Bell's Palsy. Including those with excessive weakness or atrophy in the muscle to be injected.

Patients with Chronic Respiratory Difficulties

Botox injections are comparatively painless as the injections are administered with a very fine needle. Therefore, patients do not require anaesthesia. The treatment can last around 20-30 minutes to complete. Which means you can drive and return to work the same day.

After the initial treatment, it can take between 2 and 14 days to see the full effects. The effects of Botox can last up to six months but typically last between three and four months. As wrinkles reappear, the majority of individuals will eventually require retreatment.

Follow Up Treatment

However, in some treated areas (such as frown lines), as the unconscious muscle contraction habit is broken, the wrinkles may return less severe after repeated treatments. We will ask our patients to return for a follow-up appointment within two weeks. To evaluate the efficacy of their treatment and administer any necessary follow-up care.

Most individuals report that the injections only cause mild local pain and tenderness. There may be some mild swelling at the injection site immediately after the injection, which typically subsides within 48 hours. Mild bruising is also a possibility. Significantly few adverse reactions to these treatments have been reported.

The treatment may occasionally relax nearby muscle groups, resulting in temporary drooping of the eyebrows or eyelids. Any drooping may persist for a few weeks, but it will eventually resolve. As with any medication, allergic reactions are possible, but they are uncommon. In contrast, some individuals may experience unintended benefits, such as reducing tension-type headaches, as the forehead muscles relax.

Botox treatments have been carried out over two decades without causing any adverse long-term effects. Botox typically leaves the body within three to four days after administration; however, as with any medical procedure, it is essential to seek advice from a qualified professional beforehand.

When the Botox injection's effect wears off, the wrinkles will always return to their original state. Treatments may be repeated at a minimum of three-month intervals. However, the effects may last longer for some individuals, particularly if the same area has received previous treatment.

Botox injections reduce dynamic wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes. They do not affect facial expression. The outcome can be customised for each patient and discussed during the initial consultation.

After treatment, contract the treated muscle areas for up to four hours. You can perform this by frowning and lifting the eyebrows so that the toxin can reach every muscle.

After treatment, for the next 48 hours, please avoid touching or rubbing the injected areas and refrain from facials and massages. Avoiding contact is to ensure that the treatment remains at the injection site.

Avoid vigorous exercise and alcohol-based products for 48 hours on the treated area.

If you develop bruising, you can apply Arnica cream.

Paracetamol can be taken for mild post-operative pain.
